This wasn't just a wedding; it was a milestone. Newton and Daniel held the very first same-sex marriage at Putney Methodist Church since its construction—a historic moment requiring a historic level of effort. The theme was "Royal Wedding," and the attention to detail was absolute.

The Groom personally traveled to India to collect the white Jasmine garlands.

Live Royal Broadcast

Inspired by royal wedding processions, we didn't want the guests waiting inside to miss the arrival. We deployed a drone to track the limousine, broadcasting the live feed to screens inside the church. This built anticipation long before the doors opened.

The emotion in the room was palpable. Seeing a father embrace his son at the altar of a church that, until recently, wouldn't have allowed this union, was a career highlight.

The Tunnel of Love

Entering to their favorite dance track, the couple ran through a tunnel of guests. This is where physical advantages matter—being 6'3" allowed me to shoot *over* the guests' heads, capturing the chaos and joy from a vantage point most photographers can't reach.

In a profound reclaiming of tradition, Newton and Daniel performed the exchange of necklaces and stoles. Historically known as the Varmala or Mangalsutra ceremony—often reserved for heteronormative roles—they adapted this to symbolize mutual respect, equality, and the divine nature of their specific union.
